The new iPhones continue to sell like hot cakes in various countries, but the disappointing news is that the iOS 7 is not delivering what it promised. After the initial hurdle of security issue fixed by an update, may be there are series of updates required to be given by Apple over numerous issues being faced by its users. The T3 gadget awards were held recently, and iPad mini was declared the winner in the ‘Best Tablet’ category. The other nominees were: Amazon Kindle Fire HD, Apple iPad 4, Sony Xperia Tablet Z, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and Microsoft Surface Pro. Last year winner in the best tablet category was Google Nexus 7. The awards are hosted by the gadget magazine T3, where companies like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Google and Microsoft battle each other in different categories. There are in all seventeen categories and the awards are held annually.

The largest Japanese mobile carrier, DoCoMo, recently added iPhone to its shelves. But the iPhone addition failed to attract subscribers for NTT DoCoMo, but the subscriber numbers continued to rise for KDDI Corp and SoftBank Corp. More than 66,000 subscribers dropped during the month of September, for which DoCoMo blames the low stock levels of iPhones. The reasons for such low levels is not clear though.

The iPhone 5S from Apple is now the best selling phone in the U.S., if the reports from the new Canaccord Genuity is true. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is no longer the best selling smartphone in the U.S, and is now surpassed by the iPhone 5s. The research firm has revealed that Apple’s new smartphone is the best selling device in September on the four major network providers in the United States . However, Canaccord has not revealed exactly how many units have been sold.

Tim Cook gets emotional on the second anniversary of death of Steve Jobs and passed an internal email to his employees. The email meant to motivate employees to keep up with the spirit with which Jobs lived. Have a look at the email:
“Tomorrow marks the second anniversary of Steve’s death. I hope everyone will reflect on what he meant to all of us and to the world. Steve was an amazing human being and left the world a better place. I think of him often and find enormous strength in memories of his friendship, vision and leadership. He left behind a company that only he could have built and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We will continue to honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to the work he loved so much. There is no higher tribute to his memory. I know that he would be proud of all of you.
