Apple Intelligence is Cupertino’s answer to ongoing AI wars. This was slated to make its way to upcoming version of iOS to iPad and iPhone but it is said that Apple AI release date has been pushed to iPad OS 18.1 or iOS 18.1.
Apple discovered myriad bugs with the Apple Intelligence and needs more time to remove the bugs. This also means that this feature will not be a part of their iPhone 16 release.
Instead, Apple will be pushing AI feature as a separate operating system update with iOS 18.1 together with MacOS Sequoia 15.1.
So, while iPad will get iPad OS 18, it will lack AI features and these will be added with v18.1.
We too would rather want to feature a flawless AI instead of a bug-ridden AI. Apple Intelligence release date will be pushed back and might have a split launch along with other anticipated features.
Apple AI will be working together with ChatGPT and that has raised a few concerns over the privacy of user data stored on the iPhone. It will be interesting to see how Apple deals with privacy issues associated with ChatGPT.
