Apple is notorious for making the old devices burdened with new memory and CPU hogging features that the user is forced to sell off their old device for new one. The new iPad OS 26 has made the older iPad Pro 2018 so slow that the device has now become almost unusable.
If you still have not upgraded to the latest iPadOS 26, we suggest you to not do so as it makes it super slow and unusable. The iPad Pro 2018 was still usable to some extent on the iPadOS 18 and yet some complained that OS 18 was slow. Wait, till they install the iPadOS26 on it.
Here is what Apple should do – give these old devices option to disable features that consume a lot of memory or put burden on the CPU. Or give the option to simply give security updates to the old software instead of making them so slow that the user throws them in the bin.
By throwing an OS meant to be used on 2024/2025 devices on something that was released in 2018 is not a good idea.
