It has now been (almost) confirmed that that the next generation of iPad – the iPad 3 will sport a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, which Apple will refer to as “Retina Display”. This resolution, as you would have already noticed is four times the resolution of current iPad (1024 (x2) X 768 (x2)) but that does not mean you will be able to see four times data at a time.

There is a widespread rumor about Apple to introduce a quad-core processor in the iPad 3 to make sure that it remains the king in the tablet industry. This speculation has come from the factories where the current iPad 2 processor is being manufactured. So the next processor, i.e, Apple A6 CPU may sport a more complex design and will be used in the iPad that will be introduced next year.
