We have been waiting for folks at jailbreakme to release iPad 2 jailbreak and it is finally here. This, unlike other jailbreaks covered here on iPaded, does not requires to even connect your iPad to the computer. Only thing you have to do visit jailbreakme’s site on your iPad 2 to perform the jailbreak. Follow these steps to do the jailbreak:
Note that this method is only for the iPad 2 users. It is clearly the best and safe way in jailbreak, must simpler than the iOS iPad 4.3.3 jailbreak (generation 1). The jailbreak is untethered in nature, meaning you would not have to jailbreak your Apple tablet again and again after every reboot.
First, fire up Safari and go to http://jailbreakme.com . Now, tap on the “free” button and then click on “install”.
You will have to wait for few seconds as the hack will now download the necessary files on your device and then execute the required script. Safari will automatically close – do not panic when it does that. You will also see Cydia being downloaded on the screen, just like a normal iPad app.
Oh, you will of course require iPad 2 4.3.3 ipsw before you perform this jailbreak. So, was not it easy?
